Our Woodland Projects
When choosing where to plant trees it is important to consider 2 key factors: additionality and sustainability.
Without the support of individuals and businesses our campaign would not be happening. We also use a professional woodlands contractor to plan, plant and maintain our woodlands - so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
The Big Tree Project manages all of its own woodlands and we welcome anyone who would like to visit our projects - so please get in touch!
The beginning - Balmuick Farm in Perthshire, Scotland.
The first phase of The Big Tree Project is already underway at Balmuick Farm, in Scotland’s central highlands.
Four thousand trees were planted back in the spring, with a further 72,000 planned for next Spring - with your help of course. The land is there, the expertise is standing by, we just need your support.
All of the trees being planted are native species - mainly British broadleaf such as oak, ash, birch, willow, beech and rowan.
Balmuick Farm has room for 72,000 trees - what better place in the world to plant?
The Big Tree Project has already secured further land to plant trees, so get planting now!
